Any advice on how to loosen up a vagina for first time sex?

My girlfriend and I are both virgins and are ready to have sex, we're mainly waiting for a good solid time alone. The thing is she's scared because the doctor says she has a small vagina and im 7". I was wondering if there was anything we could do to loosen it up and make it more comfortable for her? Does dry sex help? Toys are out of the question (we know all about protection)
